Mudra rates range from 8.5% to 12% depending on bank, tier, and credit profile. Most public sector banks offer Shishu at ~9%, Kishore at 9.5–11%, Tarun at 10–12%. Women borrowers get a 0.25% concession.

How this works

EMI is calculated using the standard reducing-balance formula: EMI = P × r × (1+r)n / ((1+r)n − 1), where P is principal, r is the monthly interest rate, and n is tenure in months. This matches what every Indian bank uses.

The output is an estimate. Your actual EMI depends on the bank's processing fee (usually 0.5–1% of the loan), insurance premium (if bundled), and exact disbursement date. Ask the bank for an official sanction letter before you commit.

Next step

Confirm you qualify before applying. Most Mudra rejections are for soft eligibility issues, not the loan amount.
